The chairman of Senate Committee on Appropriations, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi, has expressed great sadness at the passing away of the President and Chief Imam of Yewaland, Sheikh Sikirullah Babalola.
The Senator in a condolence message commiserated with the League of Imams and Alfas, the Muslim Ummah, and all Islamic faithful across Ogun State on the painful demise of a revered father and pious spiritual leader stressing that the demise of the Islamic cleric is a huge loss not only to his family and followers but the entire Yewaland and Ogun State.
The Senator commended Sheikh Babalola for his dedicated service to the cause of Islam as a religion and his services to humanity adding that his roles in the propagation of Islam, peace-building and the unity of the Muslim community in Yewaland and beyond remained commendable.
Senator Adeola pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) forgives the shortcomings of the departed cleric and grants him Aljanah Firdaus as well as fortitude for the immediate family and the entire Muslim Ummah to bear the irreparable loss of dearly departed.
