The Chairman of Senate Committee on Appropriations and lawmaker representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi, has expressed shock and sadness at passing away of. the Deputy Chief Whip of the House of Representatives, Hon. Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga.
The demise of the Honourable Member representing the Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency of Ogun State after a brief illness was announced by the House of Representatives yesterday.
In a condolence message to the family of the deceased legislator, Senator Adeola described the late Onanuga as a competent parliamentarian, who will be missed not only by her family and constituents, but the entire people of Ogun State and Nigeria.
“I recieved the new of the passage of Hon. Onanuga with shock and sadness. She was a fearless politician and public servant that always put the interest of the people first in all political calculations. It is therefore, not surprising that she got reelected and elected as a principal officer of the National Assembly. The nation will miss her services at this time “ the Distinguished Senator stated.
Senator Adeola prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul and the fortitude for members of her family and associates to bear the irreparable loss of a dearly beloved one.
