Senator Banigo Empowers Over 100 Farmers In Rivers West, Receives Award Of Honour

 

The Senator representing Rivers West Senatorial District, Her Excellency Dr. Mrs. Ipalibo Harry Banigo, has empowered over 100 farmers across the district with agricultural inputs to boost productivity and strengthen food security.

 

The beneficiaries received fertilizers, gasoline-powered water pumps, and spraying machines as part of the Senator’s agricultural support programme for the 2026 farming season.

The empowerment initiative is designed to promote modern farming practices, increase food production, and improve the livelihoods of farmers across the eight Local Government Areas of Rivers West.

The distribution of the inputs underscores Senator Banigo’s commitment to sustainable agricultural development and ensuring that farmers have the necessary tools to increase yields and income.

Speaking during the event, beneficiaries expressed deep appreciation to the Senator for her consistent support.
They noted that the programme was not politically motivated but a clear demonstration of her genuine love, compassion, and commitment to the welfare and economic advancement of the people of Rivers West.

In recognition of her developmental impact, the Voice of Niger Deltamisation Association presented an Award of Honour to the Distinguished Senator.
