The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife PhD, has begun the construction of the 2 phase of 3-bedroom bungalow for the less privileged in the state. She reiterated her commitment towards assuaging the suffering of the less privileged and widows in the society.

Ekwunife, who on Monday, July 5, 2021, flagged off a housing project she attracted for Mrs. Maureen Okekenta in Enugwu-Agidi, Njikoka LGA, noted that she will continue to offer the best representation to her constituents. She assured that she will continue to provide quality service delivery and fulfil her campaign promises to the people of the constituency.

Speaking at the flag-off, Barr. Fidelis O. Anyanegbu, who represented both the Igwe-in-Council led by HRH Igwe Michael Chidozie Okeke Uche and the President General of the Community, expressed satisfaction that the dividends of democracy from Ekwunife’s representation keeps manifesting in their community.

Barr. Anyanegbu, who was a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party, further noted that the community is anticipating more projects, adding that a road project courtesy of Ekwunife is in the offing.

On her part, the beneficiary of the 3-bedroom Project, Mrs. Maureen Okekenta, appreciated Ekwunife for extending the gesture to her family. She noted that she never expected to be a beneficiary, adding that Ekwunife is a Senator, who remembers the less privileged and widows in the society. The widow prayed God to continue to bless the Senator in all her endeavours.

In their separate remarks, the former PDP Chairman Enugwu-Agidi Ward I and Senator Ekwunife’s Coordinator, Mr. Christopher Mmadumbu, were glad that Ekwunife remembered one of them. The duo prayed God to bless and sustain the Chairman Senate Committee on Science and Technology in good health.
