As part of his efforts aimed at creating a conducive business environment in many community markets across Anambra North Senatorial Zone and alleviating the sufferings of the people, the Senator Representing Anambra North Senatorial District, Senator Dr Tony Nwoye, has inaugurated a 100 modern Lock up shops with Toilet Accommodation he built for petty traders in Otuocha Market, Anambra East Local Government.
The Lock up shops, which were built in line with Senator Dr Tony Nwoye’s vision for a prosperous Anambra North, were inaugurated on Saturday, 22nd June, 2024, as part of activities marking his one year as a Senator for Anambra North people.
The Senator said the delivery of the project is satisfactory, adding that the next phase will be construction of another 100 lockup shops for another set of traders in the market.
Senator Dr Tony Nwoye explained that the construction projects was executed to meet the international standard and according to specifications.
“We have executed the project properly and it is 100 percent completed. I am here to officially commission this place and hand it over to the traders to use for their business. It is my prayer and wish that these shops will bring Good fortunes to all the traders in the market. Our Next phase will be the 100 lock up shops for the traders in the market.”
On the issue of non-availability of water in the market, Senator Dr Tony Nwoye promised to reactivate the solar powered borehole in the market.
The event featured commissioning of the shops, presentation of Azu Mmili by Market Leaders and songs of solidarity for Senator Dr Tony Nwoye by the Cheerful market women and men.
