Senator Okorocha, who is the former Governor of Imo State and the Senator representing Imo West Senatorial District at the National Assembly, described General Abubakar as a history maker and an asset to the nation.

Okorocha stated that the story of the nation’s Political journey or democratic trip cannot be completed or concluded, without special mention of General Abubakar, who returned the country to democratic rule in 1999.

His words, “The truth is that, when the history of the country’s democratic journey will be chronicled, special chapters would be devoted or credited to General Abubakar because he made the current democratic dispensation possible by launching the country back to democratic rule in 1999”.

Okorocha also described Abubakar as an asset to the nation; reason being that the former Head of State had  devoted the greater parts of his life to the service of the nation and asked him to remain a blessing to the nation and her people.

Senator Okorocha prayed that General Abubakar will continue to age gracefully. And wished him more fruitful years ahead.
