Senator Solomon Adeola (APC, Lagos West), the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance, has commiserated with the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, on the demise of his father, Dr. Emmanuel Adesanya Abiodun, at the age of 89.

In a condolence message to Governor Abiodun and the entire members of the Abiodun Family of Iperu-Remo, Ogun State, Senator Adeola stated that Ogun State and indeed Yorubaland has lost a foremost educationist and a repository of knowledge with the death of Dr. Abiodun popularly called “Baba Teacher”.

“From what we know of Dr. Abiodun, he dutifully played the role of a brother, husband, uncle, father, grandfather and indeed was a very productive and important member of our society.  His record shows that he faithfully served the nation, humanity and God while alive with all his strength particularly in the important area of education of generations of Nigeria. I am therefore, not unaware of the great sense of loss that you and your family feel following the demise of your late father and patriarch of your family” the statement read.

Senator Adeola prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of foremost Ogun State octogenarian and the fortitude for the immediate and extended family to bear the irreparable loss.
