The Chairman, Senate Committee on Finance and lawmaker representing Lagos West Senatorial District, Senator Solomon Adeola, has congratulated the President of the Senate, Senator Ahmad Lawan, as he celebrates his 62nd birthday describing him as a noted game changer in the current development strides of the nation.
In a statement issue in Abuja, Senator Adeola said that the Senate President so far has engendered a cordial relation between the legislative and executive arms of government, which has brought unprecedented development in the interest of the nation without compromising the independence of the legislature in a democracy.
“On this important day in the life of our President of the Senate I want to place it on record that he is a patriotic leader that places the interest of the people and nation foremost in his leadership of the National Assembly.”
“The amity he cultivates between the Executive and Legislative arm of Government has led to many positive developments like the return of the Nigerian budget cycle back to January-December cycle after a decade and the unprecedented passage of reformist Finance Bills among other landmark legislative interventions” he stated.
Senator Adeola said his prayer for him is divine wisdom and long life to continue to serve the people and humanity in good health.
