The Board of Governors of the PEARL Awards Nigeria has announced a distinguished lineup of guests for the 2025 PEARL Awards Nite, scheduled to hold at the prestigious Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Sunday, 30th November, 2025.

In a statement signed by the Project Manager of PEARL Awards 2025, Mr. Olisemeka Obi, the Awards’ President, Mr. Tayo Orekoya, revealed that the prestigious event will be chaired by Senator Udoma Udo Udoma, former Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and current Chairman of Seplat Energy Plc, whose leadership and contributions to Nigeria’s economic development remain exemplary.

Mr. Orekoya further disclosed that the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, will serve as Distinguished Guest of Honour, while the Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, will attend as Special Guest of Honour. Other eminent personalities expected at the event, which marks the 30th Anniversary Edition of the Awards and remains the only capital market-based performance awards in Nigeria, include the Chairman of the Nigerian Exchange Group, Alhaji (Dr.) Umaru Kwairanga, and the Director-General of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Dr. Emomotimi Agama, among others.

The 2025 PEARL Awards Nite, themed “Celebrating a Legacy of Corporate Excellence,” will honour outstanding quoted companies and individuals who have demonstrated exceptional performance, transparency, and corporate governance in Nigeria’s capital market. A total of 15 Sectoral Leadership Awards and 10 Market Excellence Awards categories will be presented, culminating in the Overall Highest Award, ‘The PEARL’, conferred on the single most outstanding quoted company of the year.

Instituted in 1995, the PEARL Awards have consistently recognized and rewarded excellence among publicly quoted companies through objective, empirical, and verifiable criteria.

The 30th Anniversary celebrations officially commenced on June 24, 2025, with the PEARL Awards Corporate Summit, themed “Built to Last, Roadmap for Corporate Nigeria.” The Summit convened regulators, CEOs, investors, and thought leaders to exchange ideas on sustaining corporate excellence amid Nigeria’s evolving business landscape. A highlight of the summit was the unveiling of a commemorative publication titled “The Winning Strategies of Nigeria’s Corporate Giants.” The book captures insights from chief executives and founders of successful Nigerian companies, chronicling stories of leadership, resilience, and strategic innovation that have shaped corporate Nigeria over the past three decades.

The 2025 Awards Nite will serve as the grand finale of the anniversary celebrations, a night of glamour, recognition, and inspiration that will bring together top business leaders, policymakers, regulators, investors, and the media to celebrate three decades of promoting excellence through performance.
