A man, Mr. Patrick Okhegwae, suffered serious injury and was hospitalized in Lagos after he engaged a sex worker, Favour Maxwell, in a brawl inside a popular hotel.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Kokobi Hotel in Shasha area of Lagos where Favour operates as worker.
It was gathered that Patrick and Favour had a disagreement over an undisclosed matter which led to exchange of words and later to public fighting.
Patrick had thought that he would have his way and defeat Favour unknown to him that she was stronger and used to public fights. She reportedly attacked, beat Patrick mercilessly and went further to use a sharp object to inflict injury on his head and finger. He bled profusely and was rushed to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.
The matter was reported to the Shasha Police Division; Favour was arrested and detained at the police station. She was later charged before the Ejigbo Magistrates court for assault by inflicting injuries on Patrick.
She pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Kenneth Asibor, did not oppose her being granted bail.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mr. T.O. Shomade, granted her bail in the sum of N50, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
The sex worker was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 12th November, 2018.
P.M.EXPRESS was unable to confirm if the fight had to do with sex romp but some of their neighbours said it was so because Favour was in the hotel for work and the mission of Patrick in the hotel was not ascertained before the fight broke out.
