The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, His Excellency, Senator George Akume, CON, has commended the Renewed Hope Global team for what he described as an unprecedented demonstration of patriotism after the team, described as the *champions of the Diaspora*, formally presented a 50-page Strategic Performance Report on its global tour to the Federal Government of Nigeria. The Permanent Secretary, General Services Office (GSO), Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, *Dr Ibrahim Abubakar Kana*, was also present at the presentation ceremony.

The report, presented at the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), Three Arms Zone, Abuja, on Friday, August 28th 2026, documents the activities,  outcomes and strategic opportunities arising from the Renewed Hope Global Tour, which traversed four continents and eight global cities.

The presentation delegation, led by *Prince Ade Omole*, whom *President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR*, has described as the “face of the Nigerian Diaspora,” formally presented the 50-page Strategic Performance Report of the Renewed Hope Global Tour to the SGF. The initiative, chaired by *Ambassador J. K. Adebola, MNIM, MCICN*, carried the Renewed Hope message from Abuja across four continents and eight global cities, including *New York, London, Dubai, Zurich, Windsor, Cotonou and Toronto*, providing platforms for high-level engagements, international outreach, diaspora interaction, strategic partnerships and the promotion of Nigeria and the Renewed Hope Administration.

But it was not simply the scale of the tour that caught the SGF’s attention. It was how it was achieved.

More than 38 senior officials of the Renewed Hope Administration participated in the tour at different stages, including governors, ministers, directors-general, heads of government institutions and senior Presidential advisers. And remarkably, the entire exercise was undertaken without a single penny of funding from the Federal Government.

Presenting the report, Prince Omole explained that the tour was driven by a simple conviction: that citizens who believe in their country can lend their time, networks, resources and expertise to help project Nigeria positively around the world.

He said the team deliberately set out to create meaningful engagements that would showcase Nigeria, communicate the direction of the Renewed Hope Administration, strengthen relationships with strategic stakeholders and deepen engagement with Nigerians in the diaspora.

The revelation that such a wide-ranging programme had been executed without government funding drew a strong reaction from the SGF.

In his remarks, Senator George Akume praised the team for its commitment and sacrifice, saying:

“You are the epitome of patriotism. The work the team has carried out has never been done before, where devoted citizens embarked on such ambassadorial, humongous tasks without asking for a penny.”

The SGF’s words captured the initiative’s defining feature: a major international undertaking driven not by government funding, but by personal commitment and a belief in Nigeria.

The 50-page report provides a comprehensive record of the tour, covering the principal engagements across the four continents, participation by senior government officials, meetings with international stakeholders, diaspora interactions, opportunities identified during the engagements and recommendations for sustaining the gains made.

For the Renewed Hope Global team, the presentation was more than delivering a report. It was the formal submission of a body of work that took the Renewed Hope message beyond Nigeria’s borders and brought Nigerians and international stakeholders together around the country’s development story.

Speaking on the significance of the exercise, Prince Ade Omole said the team was determined to properly document the lessons, relationships, and opportunities generated during the tour and make them available to the Federal Government.

He described the initiative as an effort to “take Renewed Hope to the world, showcase Nigeria, build partnerships and deliver prosperity.”

The delegation led by Prince Ade Omole comprised *Dr Abubakar Zauro; Dr David Adesanya; Dr Wole Aboderin; Dr George Agbakahi; Dr Amiebenomo Pauline; Dr Sylvia Okoro; Dr Michael Tomori; Lady Peace Akinjo; Hon. Ariko Ejiro; Hon Aisha Ololade and Hon. Tokunbo Idris Oladeinde*.

Also present from the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation were *Hon. Alistair Jude Oduah, Dr Olusegun Adeyemi Adekunle and Hon Mohammed Hakeem*.

The presentation followed a carefully structured One-Hour programme, beginning with the arrival and reception of the Renewed Hope Global team, introduction of the delegation, welcome remarks and the statement of purpose by Prince Ade Omole, followed by the presentation of the Strategic Performance Report and its formal handover to the SGF. The programme concluded with remarks by Senator Akume, a vote of thanks and a commemorative group photograph.

The Renewed Hope Global team said the report marks an important milestone in the initiative and provides a consolidated account of a tour conceived as a citizens-led contribution to Nigeria’s international image, partnerships, and development agenda.
