A 54-year old man, Dauda Bello, who killed a 71-year old woman, Mesesi Adisa and sold her parts to ritualists, has told the Police she was his colleague in child trafficking before he murdered her.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Bello, was arrested by operatives from the Ogun State Police Command for the alleged killing of late Mesesi Adisa and thereafter selling her wrists and ankles to a ritualist before he secretly buried her in a shallow grave.
However, after the dastardly act,  he was caught and he confessed to have committed the alleged murder, which attracts several years of imprisonment or life imprisonment.
This was confirmed by the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, who stated that the suspect is in Police custody undergoing interrogation over the conduct.
The suspect was arrested last Thursday, as was revealed by the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer.
DSP Oyeyemi stated: “Following the disappearance of the victim, who left her house on the 8th of June and did not return back, the relative of the victim laid a complaint of a missing person”.
“After the arrest of the suspect and as he was being interrogated, he confessed to knowing the victim for a long time, and that they were both into the business of child trafficking. The suspect stated that he invited the victim to his house on a fateful day, so they could discuss their normal business, but on getting to his house, the suspect revealed he saw what seemed to be a huge sum of money with the deceased victim. As a result of this, he hit the woman with a wooden stick, so as to collect the money from the woman, which made her unconscious after which he carried the unconscious body of the victim to a bush where he finally sniffed the life out of her.”
The suspect revealed that after searching the woman, he only saw N22,200, which he collected in disappointment. After realizing that he did not get the money he targeted, he cut off the woman’s two wrists and ankles, after which he sold them to a ritualist so as to get more money.
The suspect however, took the Police, to the place he buried the deceased victim in a shallow grave. The dismembered body have been recovered and deposited to the mortuary for autopsy report.
Oyeyemi stated that the Police will bring to justice all those behind this act by arresting and charging them for conspiracy and murder after the conclusion of the investigations.
