A 40-year old married woman, Olubisi Bankole, has been arrested after she was caught smoking weeds suspected to be marijuana which she claimed enhances her sex performance with her husband in Lagos State, Nigeria.
She was charged before a Magistrates’ court sitting in Ejigbo with the alleged offence where she was remanded in prison custody at Kirikiri.
The mother of four was arrested with the substance at a smoking joint at Wole Akinseye street, Oke Imoye in Isheri Oshun area of Lagos.
She was arrested with a male smoking partner, Festus Avepere, in the evening where they had gone to smoke.
While they were there smoking, a police team at Isheri Oshun division raided the place and arrested them and took them to the station.
At the station, Bankole informed the police that she was not a criminal as police alleged, but usually smoked the substance to enhance her sex performance with her husband.
They were charged to court with wandering in disorderly manner and conspired in dealing and smoking weeds suspected to be Indian hemp.
They pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mr A. A. Fashola granted them bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.
They were remanded in prison custody pending when they will perfect their bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 24 October, 2016.
When our reporter contacted her husband, Bankole, she said he was still shocked on the allegation by the police and did not know she was smoking the substance.
