Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State heartily congratulates Chief Emeka Anyaoku, the distinguished elder stateman, on his 92nd birthday, January 18, 2025.
Chief Anyaoku is a reputable Nigerian diplomat, who has meritoriously served for years in Nigeria’s foreign missions, the United Nations, and the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth of Nations.
He has championed democracy, human rights, and development across the Commonwealth. He is also the foremost Anambra State personage.
In a release by Soludo’s Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, the governor said Chief Anyaoku’s illustrious career as a diplomat of global repute has been an enduring legacy of reference for the country.
Consequently, Governor Soludo applauded the Obosi-born statesman for his relentless contributions to Anambra, stating that he has unswervingly served as a role model and mentor to successive leaders of the state, inspiring them to strive for excellence.
He extolled Anyaoku’s pursuit of peace, justice, and good governance which has left an imprint in Africa and internationally, with his role as the vice-president of the Royal Commonwealth Society. Also, for his credible leadership position as the Adazie of Obosi and Ugwumba of Idemili.
Soludo, on behalf of the government and the good people of Anambra State, wishes Chief Anyaoku a very happy birthday and more years of fulfillment.
