Soludo Got Me Emotional On Friday!

He practically walked his talk and was ready to do more in a terrain many would fly across wearing protective gears, and relying on tepid whitepapers. Often, as was the case on Friday, I mixed with the crowd of ecstatic residents who by their sheer sighting of Charley Nwa Mgbafor in Okpoko breathed with great relief in the palpable expectation that their worse days are already in the departure lounge.

Soludo strutted over 4 kilometres cumulatively in what can be described as a liberative walk, more like the Golgotha walk where Christ lived out his passion for the salvation of mankind. While Soludo walked through the narrow patches of caving streets, inhaling the noxious air of a depleting city,  he stopped intermittently to speak to the  people.

His short talks focused on three cardinal areas viz;

1. Improved Education, that is central to the emancipation of the mind.

2. Greater ease of doing business which includes providing government support against tax thieves and virulent Street urchins (Agbero) who go about making life unbearable for a prodominantly trading population, and

3. Collective responsibility for a sustainable environment. Ndi Okpoko are a unique stalk of Anambra inhabitants gifted in industry.

The Augean stable of Sakamori stretching across a better part of the Onitsha metropolis is to be abated in the coming months.

Soludo’s statement of promise is firm. He has measured the problem, seen the intricacies and confirmed that it can be fixed.

He says to the people, “Solution is Here”, and they believe him.
