Indicators have shown that Soludo has established himself as a trailblazer in the fourth industrial tech hub development in Nigeria, with Anambra State becoming a key player in this sector. Upon his assumption of office, Soludo made clear his intentions to leverage technology and digital innovation to advance the state’s digital landscape. To this end, he established the Anambra State ICT Agency responsible for advancing the state into a technology landscape and the Solution Innovation District (SID), an incubator hub designed to foster technology and innovation-driven enterprises amongst the youth.
Within the short period of 22 months in office, Soludo’s administration has achieved several milestones in digital technology development, including the full implementation of the Zero Right of Way (RoW) policy, the establishment of an Internet Exchange Point, and the use of technology in governance. These efforts have culminated in Anambra State being recognized by the Federal Government of Nigeria as the leading state in ICT infrastructure development, e-government innovation, digital technology development, and digital technology human capital development.
Soludo’s administration is also forging partnerships with leading global tech companies and US counterparts. Together, they are working towards the establishment of a unique tech hub – Africa’s Silicon Valley – through the Solution Innovation District (SID). The impact of SID has been evident, with over 60,000 youths reached, 25,000 equipped with essential tech skills and 40,000 young ndi Anambra positively impacted.
Soludo’s “Everything Technology, Technology Everywhere” philosophy has been instrumental in guiding the strategic development of the innovation hub ecosystem. His unwavering commitment to technological advancement has been evident in the transformative journey he is championing in Anambra State.
