Soludo’s narrative has been consistent. Of course, it is getting fiercer in the face of a growing obstinacy by few misguided persons on a self-serving journey. Persons who are toying with the destinies of over 60million ndi Igbo scattered across Nigeria.
Watching this video of an interview he (Soludo) granted in Uturu, Abia State, many years before his emergence as Governor of Anambra State, I am left without doubt that Soludo’s actions in power are driven by his deep belief in the cohesiveness of Ndi Igbo as a people who are careful in thinking, strategic in action, robust and widespreading in execution. All these must be deliberate and procedural not fluky or haphazard.
Soludo pre-Governorship and the Soludo of now is consistent with the Soludo we have ever known. His big ideas for ndi Igbo, pan-Nigerianness and neo-Zikist orientation have remained constants. His track records of timely delivery of quality processes is unmatched. His “say-it-as-it-is” style of politics however unpopular, remains his point of distinction as a leader of note. I stumbled into this video and what came to my mind was; “Soludo, nothing about him changed”.
