All the senators of the southern part of Nigeria in the 8th National Assembly have elected executives that will steer the affairs of the forum.
The senators that had PDP members in the majority elected Senator Hope Uzodinma (Imo West PDP) as their Chairman.
Senator Lanre Tejuoso representing Ogun Central (APC) emerged the Vice Chairman, Senator Matthew Urhoghide representing Edo South (PDP) emerged as the Secretary General, while Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) representing Lagos West (APC) was elected as the treasurer of the forum.
Other members in the executive committee of the forum are Senator Mao Ohuabunwa (PDP Abia North), Publicity Secretary; Senator Duro Fasheyi (PDP Ekiti North) is the Auditor, while Senator Stella Adaeze Oduah (PDP Anambra North) emerged as the Welfare Officer.
Senator Dr. Lanre Tejuoso who spoke to P.M.EXPRESS in his private capacity said they will work assiduously to represent the interest of the Southerners and make sure there is even distribution of resources, equity and prompt delivery of the dividends of democracy.
