Nigerian singer and entertainment entrepreneur AJAYI Solomon, known professionally as Specdo, has released his latest single, Ohema, drawing inspiration from Ghanaian language and the universal themes of love, admiration and emotional connection.

Released on Friday, October 30, 2026, the recording marks another stage in the artiste’s return to music following his September comeback single, DaBoy.

The title Ohema takes its inspiration from “Ohemaa, a word in Twi, one of Ghana’s widely spoken languages, meaning Queen

In the context of the new release, the expression carries a romantic significance, presenting the idea of “My Queen” as a tribute to a woman who occupies a special place in a man’s heart.

The use of a Ghanaian-inspired title reflects Specdo’s growing interest in incorporating cultural expressions from across West Africa into his musical identity.

While DaBoy explored perseverance and difficult personal experiences, “Ohema” introduces a different perspective, focusing on affection, emotional appreciation and romantic relationships.

The project also highlights the cultural connections between Nigeria and Ghana, countries whose musical traditions and contemporary entertainment industries continue to influence audiences across the continent.

Ahead of the release, Specdo’s team developed a promotional campaign involving music previews, digital publicity and engagement with entertainment personalities.

A special listening preview was organised at TMY Empire, bringing together Specdo, DJ Tapi and invited guests before the official launch.

The promotional campaign also extended to Ghana, where entertainment personalities and digital creators were approached to support awareness of the recording.

Ghanaian entertainer Kalybos was among the personalities who expressed support for the initiative.

For Specdo, Ohema adds another dimension to his developing musical catalogue, moving from the reflective themes of his previous record into a love-inspired creative direction.

The song is distributed internationally by Zentharon Worldwide under TMY Empire, providing access to audiences through digital streaming services.

With the release of Ohema, Specdo continues exploring music as a means of connecting African cultures, emotions and audiences across national borders.
