She opened up after the court found her guilty and sentenced her accordingly; she admitted that she actually stole a 2-year old baby, one Miss Rokiba Raji, in Ikorodu area of Lagos. She was arrested after she went to Community Road in Odungunyan area of Ikorodu of Lagos, abducted the victim and was escaping before she was arrested by the police.
The matter was transferred to SCIID, Panti, Yaba, Lagos where she admitted that she stole the baby and pleaded guilty.
While presenting the facts before the court, the prosecutor, Inspector Adesina Adesanya, told the court that on  22nd June, 2018 at 9am, Mrs. Adesina abducted a 2-year old child, Miss Rokiba Raji, and was taking her into captivity before she was apprehended and arrested by the police.
The prosecutor asked the court that since she had pleaded guilty, the court should sentence her to serve as deterrent to others who might try such crime in future.

While being taken to the prison, Mrs. Adesina said that she regretted her action and revealed that she was not the only person involved in the syndicate which included the buyers who encouraged them to steal the children.
