Nigeria U-17 midfielder, Raheem Moyinoluwa Salaudeen, has caught the eye of English League One club, Stevenage FC, following an impressive outing during a recent trial in the United Kingdom.

The young playmaker’s performance has now opened the door to a potential opportunity in European football, as scouts from the club have moved to establish direct contact with him.

Sources close to the trial organisers confirmed that a scout representing Stevenage FC was particularly impressed by Raheem’s talent, work rate and determination during the sessions.

Following the trial, the club requested the midfielder’s contact details to enable direct communication about a possible next step in his development.

“The trial organisers have confirmed that Raheem’s email address and phone number were passed on to Stevenage FC, allowing the club to communicate with him directly about a potential opportunity,” a source said.

Raheem, who has represented Nigeria at the U-17 level, stood out for his composure on the ball, tactical awareness and ability to dictate play from midfield during the trial.

Coaches and scouts in attendance noted his maturity beyond his years, as well as his discipline and eagerness to learn — qualities that made him one of the standout performers.

The interest from Stevenage FC marks another significant milestone in the young midfielder’s budding career as he continues to pursue his ambition of playing professional football in Europe.

For Raheem, the opportunity represents a chance to test himself in one of the most competitive football environments in the world and to further develop under a structured academy and first-team setup.

Football analysts say the development is encouraging for Nigerian youth football, as more young players are using trials and international exposure to break into European clubs.

With communication now open between the player’s camp and Stevenage FC, all eyes will be on the next steps as the League One side assesses Raheem’s fit within their long-term plans.

The 17-year-old continues to train and stay focused as he awaits further feedback from the club.
