CYRIACUS IZUEKWE

Three young sex workers trafficked from the SouthEast to a popular hotel in Lagos have confessed that they stressed and over worked their private parts in order to meet up with the targets set by their captors.

The captors and lovers, Mr. Ikechukwu Egbulefu and Vera John, have been arrested and paraded for human trafficking at the State Command, Lagos.

The victims, two 18-year old girls, Deborah David, Chinwendu Onyekachi and 22-year old Helen Dickson, revealed that they were lured to Lagos under the false pretending of securing jobs for them but ended up as sex workers.

According to Deborah, “We became sex slaves after we were tricked into the popular Wagbas Hotel in Ajah area of Lagos and made to have sex with at least 10 men daily and thereafter the money will be collected from us”.

An embittered Deborah narrated that to ensure that they got hold of them, they took them to a shrine at Epe-Ijebu and placed them on oath not to hide any money they realised and not escape otherwise they will die. She said that due to the target they had to meet, they had to at least sleep with 70 men every week and deliver the money to their captors who merely fed them and kept the rest of the money to themselves.

The other victim, Chinwendu, also confirmed what Deborah had said. She further stated that due to the induced sex they were forced to embark on, their private parts were always stressed  and they suffered severe pains due to constant sex. She said that they had wanted to escape but were afraid because of the oath the native doctor made them to take as he warned that if they escaped that they will die.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that help came the way of the victims when police got the information, rescued them and arrested their captors.
This was conformed by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Imohimi Edgal, who described the act as wickedness on the girls.
Their captors, Ikechukwu and Vera, had insisted that before they brought them to Lagos that they informed them that they were coming to work as sex workers, that they agreed and followed them. However, one of the victims, Chinwendu, debunked the claim saying that Vera told her that she was coming to Lagos to work as a sales girl and regretted that when they arrived Lagos without telling her parents, they moved her to the hotel and were making money for them while stressing their private parts.

CP Edgal said that the suspects will be charged to court after the conclusion of investigations.
