Suffocating State Of The Truth In A Corrupt Society

The goodness of the good is not a product of the law. But a corrupt mind in the midst of the law will find a way to do what is not right. In the midst of Nigeria’s pervasive corruption, a tiny spark of truth flickers, struggling to stay alive. The few upright men who dare to speak out against the established rot are suffocating under the weight of a system that seems fashioned to crush them.

 

These men, scattered across various sectors of the Nigerian society, are the embodiment of the infinitesimal truth that refuses to be extinguished. They are the whistleblowers, the activists, the true journalists, and the ordinary citizens who demand accountability, justice and transparency in a system that survives on opacity, deceit and wickedness.

The infinitesimal voices of the truth have been warning of impending doom, but remain drowned out by the cacophony of corruption. They are like lone warriors, fighting against an army of ingrained interests, with little support or recognition. In recent occurrences, a whistleblower, dared to reveal the rot in a government agency. He was sacked, ostracized, and left to pick up the pieces of his shattered career. Such an individual, and many like him, are the infinitesimal truth that Nigeria desperately needs. They are the conscience of a nation that has lost its moral compass. But they are suffocating under the weight of a system that seems determined to crush them.

The gross darkness that envelops Nigeria is a manifestation of the suffocating state of truth. It is a darkness that is fed by corruption, nepotism, impunity and violence. It is a darkness that has consumed the very fabric of the Nigerian society, leaving in its wake a trail of destruction, despair, and desperation.

But even in the midst of this darkness, there is a glint of hope. The little truth that the upright men represent is a spark that can ignite a fire of transformation. It is a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there are still men and women of integrity who refuse to be silenced, who refuse to be intimidated, and who refuse to give up.

Nigeria needs more non conformist individuals now more than ever. We need their courage, their conviction, and their commitment to truth. We need them to continue to speak out against corruption, against injustice, and against the suffocating state of truth that threatens to consume us all.

Only then can we begin to emerge from the gross darkness that envelops us and into a brighter future where truth, justice, and integrity become center of attraction.

Please note this: The so called civilization in Africa, in a very high degree has wiped off morality and culture, and promoted self centerdness in the guise of self discovery. None but ourselves can heal our land.
