Next rated star singer, Balogun Lateef, who is popularly called Super Balat has featured rap star, Reminisce on his new song, ‘Local”.

The new song illustrates how Nigerians don’t appreciate indigenous materials and talents, but Nigerian materials are now taking over the world.

“The reason behind this song is that Nigerians don’t celebrate their own talents, and what they have. They will later appreciate when the whole world is celebrating the talent. Like Anthony Joshua, the great boxer who is carrying Nigeria flag at the moment as far as Boxing is concerned at the world level, people initially didn’t appreciate his talent, until he gets to the top,” said Super Balat.

“That is the reason I featured Reminisce in this song. Reminisce is an artiste I respect so much. He sings with our indigenous language; which a lot people would say is local. So that is what brought the idea of the song. Nigerians must appreciate and celebrate what they have,” he added.

The song, Local is produced by Puffy T.

The rising star singer, songwriter, and performing artiste has also dropped his new video, Mama.

The video is trending on television stations within Nigeria and out of our shores as you are reading this.

Super Balat was born in January 9, 1994 at Ebute-Metta, Lagos Mainland in Lagos State.

He graduated from University of Lagos where he studied Business Administration.

He also divulged how his journey into music industry.

“My interest in music was established at the age of 15 when I was in a music group called ‘Battle Boys’ formed with my friends in Bariga. Music has always been a prominent part of my life,” he said.

“My love for music developed from recording my first track ‘OSKOLO’ in the year 2009. For as long as I can remember I have had a very deep passion for music. A passion that was accompanied by a burning ambition to succeed, and even that ambition was enough to make any sacrifices that were necessary to ensure I would always perform at my best. After building a career in the music industry, albeit at grass roots level, it is now time for me to progress and take the next step on the ladder,” he added.

Super Balat is an independent artiste signed to Super World Class label in Lagos.
