The Super Eagles Supporters Club has congratulated the Nigerian senior men’s football team, the Super Eagles, for winning their first two matches in their qualification efforts for the 2021 African Nations Cup scheduled to be hosted by Cameroon.

In release signed and made available to news men in Lagos from the office of the National President of the Super Eagles Supporters club, Prince Vincent Okumagba, he noted that the Super Eagles have demonstrated their preparedness to surmount all obstacles in ensuring that their qualification is a smooth seal without the usual last minute panic.

“It gives us joy at the Super Eagles Supporters Club to see the team get the maximum 6 points from the 2 matches so played far and we are sure that the winning will continue against Sierra Leone during the next game at home” he said.

Prince Okumagba acknowledged the determination, talents and ability of the current Super Eagles’ squad to deliver the needed results which compliment the support of the NFF that had provided all the necessary logistical, moral and financial inputs.

“We have to give it to the Amaju Pinnick led Nigeria Football Federation for the quality of preparation the Super Eagles had toward the AFCON qualifiers”.

Such preparation he recounted included the 2 grades ‘A’ friendlies against former 5 times World Champions Brazil and Europeans highfliers, Ukraine with both matches ending in respectable draws with Super Eagles giving good account of themselves.

He also appreciated the NFF for recognising the contributions of the Super Eagles Supporters Club by providing flight space for the supporters in the same chartered flight with the Super Eagles Players to Lesotho. “It was an honour for our members to fly together with our football starts and to put icing on the cake; the team celebrated my birthday on flight to Lesotho as well as going ahead to win the game 4:2” Prince Okumagba said.

He expressed his confidence that the current leadership of the NFF together with the players are prepared more than ever before to bring in honours and glory to Nigeria and called on all Nigerians to support the team in all ways possible.

The Super Eagles Super Eagles Supporters club were in Lesotho to cheer and drum the Super Eagles to victory during the AFCON qualifiers and the match ended 4:2 in favour of Nigeria.
