At two years, while many in his age group were still craving their mother’s breast milk, Favour Tiwatope Moses was already taking hard knocks, vicious kicks and punches from a ruthless, no-nonsense and merciless taekwondo teacher.

Today, at five the taekwondo prodigy can push out his chest and declare without fear that he has paid his dues.

At his tender age, Favour has passed through the furnace of martial art.

And he has a couple of laurels, his yellow belt and confidence level that is the hallmark of champions to show for it.

In the beginning, Favour’s taekwondo sojourn was tough. Interestingly opposition to Favour’s adventure into the martial art came from the streets; from members of the public who thought the boy was too small at two years to venture into such a “violent sport”

But Favour’s mother, Mrs. Adetola Oluwaseyi ignored the complaints. She handed over her tiny tot to the taekwondo teacher Emmanuel Banjo who is the chief instructor of the Bodyweapon Taekwondo Club, Alagbado, Lagos.

At 5,  three years after, not only Favour’s mother is excited about his progress, but his Club, friends and family.

Thus on Saturday, September 25, 2021, Bodyweapon Taekwondo Club decided to honour Favour who is the official poster boy of the club.

He turned five years on September 21, 2021. Parents were on hand to celebrate Favour who the chief instructor of the club described as a future champion.

The parents who honoured him with their presence were Bishop (Dr.) Olu Moetti, Mr. Sam Ohwi, Mr. Jerome Braih, Mr Dayo Osideinde, Mr. Elvis Osawaru and Mr. Ikponmwosa Igbinoba.

Bishop Moetti prayed for the celebrant and all the members of the Bodyweapon family.

Favour spoke of his ambition “I want my blue belt” His instructor believes he can get it during the grading coming up later in the year.

“Favour is working very hard to get the blue belt during our next grading and I am sure he will get it”.
