Take A Bow! You Don’t Have What It Takes To Run For President – Atiku-Okowa Campaign Tells Peter Obi

The Atiku-Okowa Campaign Committee in Anambra State has asked Mr. Peter Obi to rethink his aspiration and support Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, GCON, and Senator Ifeanyichukwu Okowa, CON, saying that their victory is inevitable and the only way to unite Nigeria and assure the southeast presidency.
In a statement signed by Uloka Chukwubuikem, Deputy Director Media & Publicity, the Atiku-Okowa Campaign Anambra State said, “Even in his home state, Peter Obi has discovered that he is unwanted. The worst of his campaign appearances since declaring interest in running for President under the Labour Party was in Onitsha, Anambra State, where he was unable to gather enough supporters to fill the 2,500-seat inter-house sports field at All Saints Cathedral”.
“In addition to the fact that there weren’t enough people there to applaud him and support his candidacy, no notable Igbo stakeholders or leaders attended the horrific event. This alone should be proof enough that his desire is not shared by ndi Anambra, let alone the entire Igbo.”
“How then can those who support his ambition outside the southeast attract the support of their people for Obi when they have clearly seen that Anambra State and other southeasters are not in support of Peter Obi and his Labour Party?”
“No region would wish to align itself with any candidate who doesn’t have a chance on his home soil and commands at least 60 percent of the electorate; such has never been the case in our politics and democracy.”
“Those who had earlier indicated little interest in the Obi and LP jamborees will begin to alight the vehicles and join other candidates with chances of winning, not those planning to fail.”
“Peter Obi and the Labour Party’s presidential hopes have stagnated; they’re no longer inspiring, as it’s now obvious that Peter lacks the minimum requirements to be President of Nigeria, alongside his inability to manage and hold the country together.”
“His terrible gathering in Anambra State demonstrated only one fact: the people of Anambra State and the entire Ndi-Igbo are liberals who prioritize Nigeria’s interests, unity of purpose, and the stability of our fledgling democracy.”
“Their overwhelming support, as well as the crowd that swarmed Alex Ekwueme Square for the PDP Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates during the December 15, 2022 campaign rally, demonstrated that Anambra State is a PDP state that will eventually join millions of other Nigerians in ensuring that Atiku Abubakar and Ifeanyichukwu Okowa succeed with their plans and agenda to Recover Nigeria.”
“Peter Obi should now take a bow and rally behind the majority. Only God has the authority to provide power, and God has chosen Atiku-Okowa to Recover and Rescue Nigeria.”
“The entire southeast states, like Anambra, would fight any attempt to divert them from Atiku-Okowa’s aspirations to rebuild and unite Nigeria.
Nigerians Want PDP Back. Peter, Take A Bow!” the statement concluded.
