A 47-year old tenant, Okoro Emmanuel, displayed his boxing prowess in Lagos by raining blows on his landlady’s eyes and damaging her left eye after he alleged she was peeping at him while urinating in the compound.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Abiodun Adeleye Street Ilasamaja area of Lagos, where Emmanuel resides with the landlady, Mrs. Ifeoma Obisike.

The landlady, Mrs. Obisike, suffered her fate after she claimed that she had warned her tenants not to urinate in the compound for an undisclosed reason but that did not go down well with Emmanuel, who went to urinate against the landlady’s order.

While he was urinating on the fateful day, the landlady confronted and was abused him, which Emmanuel was unable to bear. He accused her of peeping at him while he was urinating and then struck her with blows damaging her eye in the process.

The matter was reported to the Police at Ilasamaja Division; Emmanuel was arrested and detained at the Station for assault. He reportedly told the Police that it was the landlady that assaulted him by peeping while he was urinating.

However, the Police found him culpable and charged him before the Isolo Magistrates Court for hitting the victim’s left eye thereby endangering her life.

He pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Mr. Oje Uagbale, asked the Court to give a date for hearing to enable the Police to provide evidence to show that he actually committed the alleged offence.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Akokhia, granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.

The matter was adjourned till 7th April, 2021, while the defendant will be remanded in Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town in Lagos pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
