The APGA Leadership Is Like A Father…

Now as a Father, you have four Sons with equal opportunity. The first Son enjoys the full compliment of your blessings and is doing well in the task you have committed in his hands. The second Son enjoys same. Your desire is for them to consolidate on the business you have committed to them. The third son, failed at little, but he wants more. You have seen his capacity and want him to do well first at little before you give him more. The fourth Son, had been on the watch for all others, protecting the family’s collective inheritance.

Now, the Father in his wisdom wishes for the first and second Sons to continue in the craft they already have. He also wishes for the third Son to take some more time to learn from his failure in little and decide exactly what he wants, not asking for more. And for the fourth Son who is already skilled at protecting the family’s inheritance and has also built a huge fear factor against the enemies of the family, the Father’s wish is that he continues doing what he is good at — protecting the interest of the family — from the front this time.

Note, this Father also has an adopted adult Son who is yet to understand the family values, but is asking to be the heir apparent. Then, there is a last born Son who is the beloved of all, that the Father has promised an inheritance. But, he also wants to lead.

The Fourth Son is the oldest of them all. He has remained gracious is watching the back of his brothers. He has also continued to remind his brothers of the need to honour their father — the Party. But, the spirit of Absalom is a deadly one. It thrives on rebellion. All it wants is the destruction of the Father’s heritage.

If you were a Father, what would you do?
