The Faces Of Anambra’s Next Generation Realtors!

These guys are shaping the outlook of Awka’s next generation Realtors. A common denominator is that all of them share a story of rocky start, a strong defiance to limitations, and a bulge of young following who look up to them for help, mentoring and “giveaway”.

Not so much is known about their early start, asides allusions and suspicions only their individual account can clarify. The much known about them, in no particular order, are as follows:

1. Chukky Ezenwa (alias Chukky GSS) is discussed in town as a rich-kid, whose fortune finds its root in the inheritance from his father (dead or alive, not sure). Chukky deliberately nurtured his way up social prominence when he established a private Security outfit – – GSS – – in the city of Awka. Today, GSS is a household name with staff strength of over 500 able bodied young men and women recruited, trained and deployed as private guards to different corporate organisations and VIPs in need of private security. His launch into the real estate industry is seen as one of his many divestment drives to create more streams of income. He also had same interest in the garment production industry, sadly, that one is still gasping for breath for reasons not known to the public. His investment in the Real Estate sector has seen the rise of Dubai Estate, one of his audacious projects that would establish him as a National Doyen in the league of Estate Developers, when completed. Chukky would need to tell his stories some more, as little is known about him to engender positive inspiration.

2. Ekweoba Arnold Ebuka (Arnolds and Associate) is another young man, who is an Estate Surveyor/Developer by training and in practice. With a strong academic background from Federal Government College, Nise and Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Arnold grew from being a “house Agent” helping fresh students in Awka with solving their accommodation needs, to a land agent selling properties; with signature projects in City of David Estate and some other fast rising Estates within the Awka Capital Territory Development area, Arnold is a young man to look out for in the Real Estate industry Nationally. However, what must be mentioned is that Arnold is a socialite with an army of young following, who perceive his means rather awkwardly. He also needs to tell his story and show more of the process than unimaginable outcomes that may derail impressionable minds.

3. Chimezie Okeke (Cadlands) is a graduate of Biochemistry from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, a “Commando” (a name Alumni of Command Secondary school call themselves). Young Chimezie had early stints at Comedy, doubling as a Guest on one of ABS Radio/TV comedy programme, and a Master of Ceremony at different local weddings and events. Comedy may not have worked well for Chimezie as a viable means of subsistence, but his great following while at it provided his first massive break when he launched Cadland as a Real Estate startup in town. The news around town associates his investment seed to his association with the owner of the now defunct Chinmark Group. What is left about this is a story only Chimezie can tell. He has recently launched his pet project – – Genesis City. This project upon completion would establish him as a force in the comity of Estate Developers. Chimezie, is of humble beginning and has not failed in telling his followers to trust socially approved means and processes.

4. Aneto Samuel Onyema (Dynamo Group) is a young man with a track record of steady growth in business. Once a keke (Tricycle) Rider in Awka, Aneto struggled through University education without caving in. The Brand Dynamo became renowned in the Retail Gas industry with a mini plant selling LPG to students and households in Awka. From this, Dynamo perfected the art of setting up and servicing gas plants, and to his credit, many small and medium scale gas plant owners in Awka and beyond are in his clientele. Dynamo’s interest in real estate began about a year ago, and today, he is listed as one of the major players in Awka. The Dynamo group is a conglomerate of many business interests headed by the gregarious Aneto. Currently, they are on the verge of establishing two outstanding Housing Estates, “Ezeabata and Hakunamatata” Estates. If they succeed at this, then the Dynamo group would have successfully consolidated on the Real Estate arm of their budding conglomerate. Aneto is a life coach who is both vocal and exemplary in teaching young people the value of socially approved means and processes.
