Introduction: Awkuzu Town, like many other communities around the world, is grappling with a growing problem that threatens its most valuable asset: its youth. The menace of drug abuse has cast a dark shadow over the town, leading to devastating consequences for its young population. In this piece, I explored the multifaceted issues of drug abuse in Awkuzu Town of Anambra State, shedding light on the destructive impact it has on the lives of its youths.

Conclusion: The menace of drug abuse is a pressing issue that requires urgent attention in Awkuzu Town. Its destructive effects on the youth, families, and the entire community cannot be underestimated. By taking a proactive approach, including education, rehabilitation, community support, and prosecution of dealers, Awkuzu Town can begin to heal and empower its young population to lead healthier, more productive lives. It is time to break free from the chains of drug abuse and restore hope to the future of our people.
With this therefore, I draw the attention of His Royal Highness, Igwe Prof Anikweze, Awkuzu Ibilibe-Ogada Kingdom. There is an urgent need to address the menace of drug abuse and save Awkuzu Kingdom. The time is NOW!
