Airtel Nigeria has revealed that its sponsorship of the iconic game show, ‘The Price is Right,’ delivers the iconic program not only to its over 64 million subscribers but also to all Nigerians.

The revelation was made by Femi Oshinlaja, Chief Commercial Officer of Airtel Nigeria, during a recent interview on the popular TVC morning program, ‘Your View’.

Responding to questions during the live chat, Oshinlaja described the company’s decision to sponsor the show, in association with Smartcash Payment Service Bank, its wholly owned subsidiary, as an opportunity to offer Nigerians a unique and rewarding experience.

“Our partnership with ‘The Price is Right’ perfectly reflects our vision of transforming lives and giving back unconditionally, hence, we are proud to be involved in such a transformative show. This participation window is open not only to Airtel subscribers but to all Nigerians aged 18 and above, ensuring that everyone has an equal chance to participate and benefit,” he said.

He further emphasized, “At SmartCash, our primary goal is to drive financial inclusion, ensuring that every Nigerian has access to affordable and rewarding banking services. Just as the game show offers contestants the opportunity to win cash and other exciting prizes, SmartCash is recognized for its rewarding financial services, which include benefits like cashback, data, and free airtime on financial transactions.”

Also speaking during the interview, Executive Producer of ‘The Price is Right’, Olatunbosun Olaegbe expressed gratitude to Airtel and SmartCash, commending the brands for considering the TV show as a good platform to give back.

“We must thank Airtel for having the foresight to see the show as a platform to give back to the society, knowing fully well that the brand has done so well in terms of providing services to Nigerians over the years. We are also pleased that the partnership also presents an excellent opportunity for Smartcash merchants to showcase the brand’s products and services”, he said.

He concluded by announcing that the show will start airing on September 1st, following its premiere on Sunday, 25th of August, in Victoria Island, Lagos.

To participate, interested individuals can register on ‘The Price is Right’ website to be invited to join the live studio participation. Alternatively, the home studio play option allows participants to engage from the comfort of their homes using the mobile app.
