The Deputy Director Media/Publicity of Atiku-Okowa Presidential Campaign, Anambra State, Uloka Chukwubuikem, has said that the support of the South East will not be taken for granted by the candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
Giving the assurance in a chat with newsmen in Awka, Comrade Uloka said,
“With the endorsement of the North for the PDP presidential candidate and former Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, it’s now becoming evident that the victory of the party in 2023 is inevitable”.

“The North and its nineteen states have only declared that the task to rescue and recover Nigeria is a collective one and a clarion call to well-meaning Nigerians. There’s no doubt that the South East will, like the North, declare its support for Atiku Abubakar and ensure victory for the former Vice President in the region during the February poll.”

“There is no other presidential contender who can compete with Atiku Abubakar for the presidency, and this is a fact we must acknowledge. Anything other than voting for Atiku Abubakar and the PDP is a vote for the APC party, which has abused Nigerians over the last 7 years, molested and impoverished our young population, and only exacerbated the insecurity that is now threatening our existence and unity in diversity, and is still unapologetic about their brazen failure and misrule.”

“Affirming the declaration of the northern coalition for Atiku Abubakar and the PDP, it’s evident that the Labour Party, which has our son and brother as its candidate, cannot win the presidency because the party lacks the material and human resources to win elections in all the constituencies in Nigeria. Based on INEC statistics, the Labour Party only fielded less than 30% of total national and state assembly seats, with the majority of the 30% candidates fielded only in the five (5) South East states and a little chunk in other southern states, with near zero interest in the Northern Nigeria where the bulk votes lie. What this implies is that the Labour Party is only contesting for the votes of the South East, which, even if he gets them all (albeit not feasible), cannot make the Labour Party candidate President of the Federal Republic, instead an attempt to abandon our zone in the opposition for another 8–16 years which may likely annihilate us politically.”

“We must embrace the opportunity of Atiku Abubakar, GCON to rescue and recover Nigeria, join other nationals to oust APC out of power, and get the country to work again for the common man, which is what Atiku Abubakar and PDP are offering Nigerians.”

“We are confident that Atiku Abubakar will appreciate the efforts of the South East and reward our support for his recovery mission when he is declared president-elect in 2023, which is most probable.”

“We want our people to understand that politics is a game that must be played with strategy and tact rather than emotion and sentiment. Given that the ticket of Atiku-Okowa is currently the most popular among other Nigerians with the promise of restructuring the country, it will be perfect for the South East to secure maximum support for the PDP. We are privileged and confident that Atiku Abubakar will not take our support for granted, rather than squander it on a frivolous venture of Labour Party.”

“The worst that could happen to Nigeria and diminish Ndi-Igbo the most, is the victory of the APC in 2023 (May God forbid), which, indirectly, is what the Labour Party is working assiduously to enthrone and continue the marginalization of the Ndi-Igbo and South East.”

“The presidential campaign of Atiku Abubakar and Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyichukwu Okowa in Anambra State, led by Professor Obiora Okonkwo, OFR, is resolved to deliver Anambra State to the PDP in conformity of Nigerians’ popular demands for Atiku Abubakar” Comrade Uloka Chukwubuikem assured.
