There’s No Rift Between Me And Obiano – Ezeuzu (III) Says

The Imperial Majesty of Awka Kingdom and first class Monarch in Anambra State Dr. Austine Ndigwe, (Ezeuzu III) has reacted to the news making rounds about claims that the State Governor cannot intimidate Traditional Rulers in the State.

Dr. Ndigwe confirmed that the story filed by some brown envelope reporters are not only fake but also misleading and a fabricated story that emanated from the imagination of the reporters minds.

He stated, “If there’s anything to tell anyone even the Governor, we won’t say it publicly; we will reach out and say so privately. That’s the policy of Awka Kingdom”.

“I think those who filed the report quoted me out of context and reported what hovers around their imagination and not in reality.”

“I have been in Awka for the past few months and have not travelled to Abuja, I have nothing to do with anyone in Abuja going to see President Muhammadu Buhari and must be exonerated from that folly or they will face the wrath of Awka Kingdom.”

“The Governor of Anambra State, HE, Dr. Wilie Obiano has been friendly with the Traditional Council of Awka Kingdom; there’s no rift between Obiano and Ezeuzu III, I only called on the Governor to build more infrastructures in Awka capital city.”

He noted that it was the Governor who transformed the Anambra State capital to a real capital city and rather urged him not to relent in building more infrastructures that will continue to develop and beautify Awka. 

“We are not people who confront those placed in position of authority by God. We don’t insult or embarrass them. There is no fight or rift between Ezeuzu III and the Governor” the Monarch said.

Ezeuzu III cautioned those he described as rumor mongers and those seeking to cause ill-feelings between himself and the Governor to desist, noting that they can never succeed in such antics.

He promised to always support the Governor and the Government where necessary; he said the Governor has been a blessing to the State and prays for the Almighty to always guide him in the right direction to keep performing for the people of Awka and Anambra State at large.
