Tinubu And Shettima, Perfect Combination Nigeria Needs in 2023 – Dr Salami

The former Accountant General of Oyo State under the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi-led administration (2011-2014), Dr. Olagoke Salami (FCA) lauded the selection of the former Governor of Borno State, Senator Kassim Shettima as Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s running mate for the 2023 presidential election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Salami congratulated Nigerians for the good choice made by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, adding that religion is different from good governance and dividends of democracy.

According to him, “Nigeria as a country has been getting it wrong on sentimental level of religion instead of working on competency, but we work on religion consideration.

Olagoke Salami, who is the National Patron/South West Grand Patron of National Coalition of Tinubu Support Groups (NCTSG), the amalgamation of over 300 accredited Tinubu’s support groups noted t that the selection of Senator Shettima is a good omen and a combination that will move the nation forward in the socio-economic and political spheres which will help find lasting solutions to some of Nigeria general problems.

He further added that the two former Governor of Lagos and Borno States are brilliant, resourceful, energetic and round pegs in round holes with high level of certainty that they will add developmental value and economy growth to Nigeria based on their past records.

“I am very sure that Nigerians will celebrate the performance of Tinubu/Shettima after one year in office with outstanding performances” he said.

According to Olagoke Salami; “As Tinubu edged out his opponents in a landslide victory at the oarty’s primary, Tinubu and Shettima will certainly repeat the same surprisingly feat in the presidential election next year.”

He appealed to Nigerians to shun religious acrimony and sentiments as 2023 general election is approaching, adding that good candidate and performance should be the yardstick in the interest of a united, peaceful and prosperous Nigerian for all to enjoy the true dividends of democracy
