The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has congratulated the new President of Supreme Council for Shari’ah in Nigeria (SCSN), Sheikh AbdurRashid Hadiyatullah, on his appointment.

Asiwaju Tinubu said the new leader is deserving of the exalted position having served meritoriously as Vice President to the late illustrious President of the Council, Dr. Ibrahim Datti Ahmad.

The former Governor of Lagos State was full of praise for the Supreme Council of Shari’ah in Nigeria for upholding its own Constitution, describing it as a worthy example in building and sustaining institutions.

Asiwaju Tinubu enjoins all members of the council to support and rally round the new leader for God’s guidance as he takes on the responsibilities of his office.

“I congratulate Sheikh AbdurRashid Hadiyatullah for assuming this sacred role. I know him as a compassionate and pious man of faith, who upholds the value of integrity and total adherence to the injunctions of the Almighty Allah.”

“I am convinced he will discharge his duty with fear of God, use his office to advance the work of Allah and promote peace and harmony in our country.

I urge all Council members to support him to succeed in this important office” Asiwaju Tinubu said.
