Tinubu Hails Soludo’s ‘Philosopher King’ Leadership On His Birthday, Lauds Anambra’s Transformation

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has celebrated the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, on his 66th birthday, praising his administration for bringing bold leadership, improved security, and rapid economic transformation to the state.

 

In a goodwill message released on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 and signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President commended the Governor for his disciplined approach to governance, noting the visible impact of his policies on the daily lives of Anambra people through expanded infrastructure and a safer environment.

 

Describing the former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor as an “outlier” in the political space, President Tinubu noted that Governor Soludo has successfully transited the rigour, brilliance, and discipline of academia into the political arena.

“Soludo has truly demonstrated that when philosophers become kings, good change happens,” the President stated, encouraging the Anambra leader to sustain his good work and thanking him for his continued support.

Reflecting on Governor Soludo’s stellar professional track record, President Tinubu highlighted his tenure at the CBN, where he engineered some of the most impactful and far-reaching reforms in Nigeria’s banking sector.

Offering his prayers for the state’s chief executive, the President said: “I join family, friends, and the people of Anambra State to celebrate Governor Soludo on his birthday today.

“I pray that God Almighty grant him many more years of good health and strength to deepen his transformative leadership in Anambra and Nigeria.”

The President’s felicitation comes as residents across Anambra, alongside the governor’s family and friends, join in celebrating the milestone birthday of the leader of the ‘Light of the Nation.’
