The police in Lagos have arrested a Togolese National resident in Nigeria for allegedly raping six under aged girls.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that this was confirmed by the Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, CSP Chike Oti, at the Command in Lagos.

He stated that on 8th October, 2018, about 0850hrs, a report came to the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Ejigbo Police Station, CSP Olabisi Okufowobi, through the father of one of the children defiled and indecently assaulted by a Togolese, Dominic Samson, 31, of No.28 Olusesan Street,  Ejigbo. The man reported that while he was busy fending for his family, Mr. Dominic Samson, a neighbour, was at home having his way with his 15-year-old daughter.

Based on his complaint, the DPO, with extensive training in children and women rights, interrogated the victim and she confirmed the report. She confirmed that the suspect did not only defile her but had anal sex with her. She further revealed that she was not the only victim of the suspect’s indecent sexual behaviours. She named five other victims who were within 13 to 15 years  age bracket.

All the victims except the sixth had been identified, interrogated and their statements recorded. The girls revealed that the suspect sometimes brings all of them together in one room for the romp and thereafter gives them cash reward of fifty Naira each.

The five victims had been taken to Mirabel Centre where doctors report confirmed that the victims were indeed defiled as alleged.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police once again admonished parents to be mindful of their children as that is the only panacea to the rising cases of sexual exploitation and abuse of children. He assured that the suspect will be charged to court after the conclusion of investigations.
