Module 11 article, published on Monday, 25th August, 2025, discusses Dr Uzu Onyemaechi Robert’s initiative to educate the public on ‘Breast Cancer’ and how to kill the fear, defeat the threat, and regain sound health through a natural therapeutic approach.

 

He stated:

“The breasts are located on the chest muscles that cover the ribs and are made of fat, glands, and connective tissues and have several lobes. Lobes contain many smaller lobules, which contain groups of tiny glands that can produce milk. Milk runs from lobules through thin tubes known as ducts, where 80 per cent of breast cancer occurs.”

 

“Cancer is a group of abnormal cells that have abnormal growth patterns. Breast cancer is cancer manifesting in the breast tissue. It is the most common type of cancer in women and the most common cause of death in women between the ages of 45 and 55.”

 

“In Nigeria, breast cancer has increased rapidly, and urgent attention must be given to this deadly and scary disease.

The name of the cancer is determined by the location where the cancer occurs. Cancer occurring in the ductal area is called ductal cancer, and the ones developing in the lobules are called lobular cancer, and this accounts for 10-15 per cent of breast cancer. Sometimes, cancer spreads into surrounding tissues, and this is the most dangerous cancer. An example is the cancer that spreads into the lymph nodes under the arm or on the same side of the cancer. It can also metastasise into the bone and liver. ”

 

“The psychological effect of breast cancer kills faster than the cancer itself.

Nobody wants to hear that name, ‘cancer’, pronounced by his/her doctor. It is not a sickness anyone would like to have, and the moment it is diagnosed, it seems hope is lost. It is the shock that actually kills more people than the sickness. Treat the person before treating the disease.”

 

“The exact cause of breast cancer is still unknown, but certain factors are linked to the disease, including family history, excessive consumption of alcohol and processed and refined foods, overweight, late age of having children, and those who began to see their period before the age of 12 and those who experienced menopause after the age of 55.”
