Toyin Balogun Steps Down For Adeyinka Oyediran In Kosofe Assembly Race

A major aspirant for the Kosofe State Constituency II in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Toyin Wasiu Balogun, has stepped down from the race.
P.M.EXPRESS reports further that Balogun stepped down late Tuesday, 19th May, 2026, directing his supporters to support and vote for another aspirant, Omooba Adeyinka Oyediran, in the primary election fixed for Wednesday, 20 May, 2026.
This medium learnt that Balogun was one of the leading contenders for the race to represent Kosofe State Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly on the platform of APC.
On Tuesday, Balogun announced his withdrawal saying he believed in the ability of Oyediran to represent the constituency well.
