Transport Guru, Ekeson Motors Splashes Millions On Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Lagos State

It was indeed a splendid moment at the Ohanaeze Ndigbo General Assembly meeting on Sunday led by the amiable President, Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene, when the transport mogul and Managing Director, Ekeson Motors Limited, Chief Eugene Ojukwu, donated millions of Naira to the association in Lagos.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the meeting, which was held at Calabar Hall, located at Ajao Street, Surulere, Lagos, was attended by stakeholders, men and women including the Ezendigbo, Lagos State, Eze Christian Nwachukwu, Igbo traditional rulers led by the Chairman Supreme Council of Ezendigbo, Lagos State, Eze Lawrence Nnamdi Eze, different dance groups led by women from Oriada Local Government area of Lagos State.
At the meeting, Chief Eugene Ojukwu, who has the chieftaincy title “Odinanwa”, was overwhelmed by the number of Ndigbo who attended the meeting and gave out the cash to support the administration of Chief Aguene for his outstanding performance on the welfare of Ndigbo in Lagos State.
Chief Ojukwu, who came to the meeting with his entourage, noted that he has observed that since Aguene took over as the President of Ohanaeze, Lagos State, he has been so compassionate and transparent in leading the Igbo unlike in the past when some dissidents were leading Ohanaeze in Lagos State, which made him to lose interest in the group.
He recalled what happened some years ago when the so called leaders of Ohanaeze went to Ghana and the leaders were given huge sums of money for the welfare of Ndigbo in Lagos State;  he revealed that the money went into private pockets and that made him to completely lost interest in Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State.
“Chief Solomon Aguene has demonstrated that he is transparent and has interest of the Igbo and he needs to be supported by all for the progress and prosperity of Ndigbo in Lagos State” Chief Ojukwu said.
During the meeting, Chief Aguene explained that Chief Ojukwu was a prominent member of Ohanaeze in Lagos State but later withdrew because of some of the characters, who were pioneering the affairs of Ohanaeze in Lagos State.
He stated that Chief Ojukwu has contributed immensely towards the progress of Ndigbo and hence the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State had the pleasure to honour him as the Life Patron of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State.
Others honoured were the wife of the first son of late Dim Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, Dr. Barrister Victoria Ojukwu, who was recognized for her contributions to Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State, Chief Chukwuma Eze (Etodike), Chief Emmanuel Ezika and others.
Some of those who attended the meeting expressed happiness that Ohanaeze has returned to its past glory when people attend the meeting, they will be happy and return home with happiness and they commended Chief Aguene for his leadership qualities.
