Umuagamara Kindred In Iho-Dimeze Breaks Record On Ancestral Land Development

The people of Umuagamara kindred of Amaeke Iho-Dimeze in Ikeduru area of Imo State, expressed their profound joy as the community embarked on road construction and development of their ancestral home called Ohia Uhu.

The project which commenced on 4th December attracted encomium from the people living at home and abroad.

Speaking on the project, the President-General of the community, Deacon Samuel Ukachi, expressed joy that the long expected project has kicked off. He said that the concept is the resolution taking by the people after series of deliberation in our meeting on the need to develop and return back to our forefathers land.

The Chairman of the community, Rev Darlington Aginwa, who thanked God for the commencement of the project, noted that Umuagamara will enjoy the benefit of the project in no distant time. He explained that God’s blessing is upon our people; that the development will encourage the children of Umuagamara to move in and start building their houses.

The Secretary/Publicity Secretary of the community, Comrade Ogbonna Iwuagwu, explained that the project is a welcome development considering the fact that Umuagamara needs expansion. He noted that the ancestral land is capable of accommodating the children and grand children instead of purchasing land for building from neighbouring communities at a very exorbitant price.

Comrade Ogbonna enjoined the elites in the community to give full support towards making sure the project is actualised.
