In a groundbreaking move, Professor Obiora Okonkwo, OFR, Chairman of United Nigeria Airlines, touched down in the United States on November 16, signaling the airline’s imminent launch of direct flights to America.
The United Nigeria Airlines delegation, led by Chairman Okonkwo, engaged in crucial discussions with Dallas Forth Worth International Airport and met with Texas Governor Greg Abbott, along with key industry figures. The talks focused on the strategic implications of United Nigeria Airlines (UNA) initiating direct flights from Nigeria to Texas, USA.
Having obtained the Federal Government of Nigeria’s approval for international operations, encompassing routes to the United Kingdom, the United States, and other international destinations, United Nigeria Airlines has embarked on its first significant move.
The airline, bolstered by the recent acquisition of more than twelve new aircraft, including the Airbus A320, plans to commence regional flights to select African countries before the year’s end. Following this, it aims to inaugurate direct flights to the United States, commencing with the vibrant state of Texas, the 8th largest global economy.
United Nigeria Airlines, recognized as one of the fastest-growing indigenous carriers, is dedicated to elevating its flight services, ensuring an unparalleled experience for passengers across all destinations.
