United Nigeria Airlines Signs Partnership MOU With Enyimba Football Club

In a groundbreaking move, United Nigeria Airlines has signed a partnership and sponsorship memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Enyimba International Football Club.

The signing ceremony, which was attended by both Chairmen of United Nigeria Airlines and Enyimba Football Club, as well as Chief Olisa Metuh and other dignitaries, took place at United Nigeria Airlines Corporate Headquarters in GRA, Enugu.

Speaking at the event, Chairman of United Nigeria Airlines, Professor Obiora Okonkwo, OFR, stated that the partnership signified a strong bond between Enyimba Football Club and United Nigeria Airlines. He noted that the sponsorship deal is part of their community social responsibility (CSR) and that Enyimba Football Club and Kunu Nwankwo were the perfect partners for this initiative given his strong admiration for the football legend and icon.

In response, Kanu Nwankwo, Chairman of Enyimba International Football, praised United Nigeria Airlines for their commitment to supporting local sports. He stated that the partnership would not only benefit Enyimba Football Club but also the Nigerian league, with his team already winning a hat-trick of matches and moving to half place in the league table from a lower position since the news of the partnership was announced to the players, it has become a major boost for their confidence and mentality knowing what such partnership will bring to the club. He acknowledged that the partnership would turnaround the club’s fortunes and reposition it as one of Nigeria’s most successful football teams in recent times.

Kanu, who highlighted that this historic sponsorship deal is the first of its type, also urged other Indegenuous businesses to follow in the steps of United Nigeria Airlines and rally around the sports industry in Nigeria to enhance sports development in the country.

The partnership will bring mutual benefits and growth to both organizations, with United Nigeria Airlines gaining brand exposure through the popularity of Enyimba Football Club, and Enyimba Football Club receiving increased resources and support to develop their infrastructure and talented players, as well as flight availability for their local and international matches.

The partnership between United Nigeria Airlines and Enyimba Football Club is a unique and groundbreaking initiative that sets a new standard of collaboration between the aviation and sports industries in Nigeria. With this MoU, both organizations are confident of creating a lasting legacy and bringing unlimited joy to football enthusiasts across the nation.
