UNIZIK Law Graduate Stabs Younger Brother To Death

A Law graduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, identified as Ohale, has been arrested by the Police for allegedly stabbing his younger brother, Kelechi, during a fight over an undisclosed matter.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at their home at Oraeri Street, GRA, Agu Awka in the capital city of Anambra State.

The suspect was said to be doing his compulsory National Youth Service but returned home and had disagreement with his brother which led to the fight.
It was gathered that during the fight, Ohale allegedly brought out a knife and stabbed Kelechi on the head. He was said to have bled profusely and later died before the doctors could attend to him.
The corpse was deposited at an undisclosed mortuary for autopsy report in Awka, Anambra State.

This was disclosed by the Anambra Police Public Relations Officer, SP Haruna Mohammed.
The real cause of the fight was not yet disclosed by the Police as the 28-year old Ohale was only said to have returned from the NYSC service before he committed to the act.
The Police spokesman, SP Haruna Mohammed, said that the incident happened in the early hours of the day.
He said that on Tuesday, about 4am, Police detectives attached to ’B’ Division, Awka, arrested Ohale at Oraeri Street GRA, Agu, Awka, for allegedly using a knife to stab his younger brother, Kelechi, 19, of same address. They are from Emekuku in Owerri North LGA of Imo State.

“The scene was visited by detectives who rushed the victim to the hospital where he was certified dead on arrival at Amaku Teaching Hospital, Awka, by the medical doctor on duty. The body has been deposited at the hospital morgue for autopsy.
“Meanwhile, the suspect who is a Law graduate and doing his Youth Service, has been arrested and five knives stained with blood were recovered at the scene. The suspect would soon be charged to the Court” SP Haruna said.
