Director of the club, Lawal Abiodun confirmed to journalists in Lagos that the scouting football tourney in Ondo State will help the team prepare well for the Surulere Regional League and other high profile football competitions.

“ My team were invited to the scouting football tourney and I am happy that such competition would expose my boys to know more about the techniques of the game. It is a good competition for us because my expectation is that at the end of the tourney three or four of my players would be selected by the Austria football agents, “he said.

Abiodun noted that his team have prepared for the tourney mentally and psychologically. He revealed that his team will play FC Bethel on Wednesday and two friendly matches with some clubs before they travel to Ondo on Friday.

“We are taking   the scouting football tourney seriously, that is why we have played some friendly matches to keep the players fit ahead of the programme in Ondo State. I am not going there to make numbers but to ensure that some of our players are selected at the end of the scouting tournament, “he said.

Asked if his club would play this year’s Lagos State Challenge Cup, Abiodun said lack of finance is one of the problems facing the club. He revealed that he has been singlehandedly sponsoring the club in the last few years, adding that if he gets sponsor, he will definitely play in the FA Cup.

“Honestly I want to play this year’s edition because the report I am reading about the Challenge Cup showed that this year’s edition would be glamorous. Presently, I don’t have sponsor and I cannot afford the fees to register for the FA Cup,” he said.
