“I laid the foundation and put in place the building blocks of APC in Owerri North LGA” – Sir. Jude Ejiogu
The mercurial party leader from Umuakuru, Emekuku made the comment on Thursday, 1st of June 2023, when he received the audience of the leadership of APC in Owerri North LGA, led by the party chairman, Hon. Kelechi Azuike. Sir. Jude Ejiogu, who was the former Chief of Staff and SSG under Owelle Rochas Okorocha’s administration, described himself as a “team player who is very willing to work in synergy with the political creme of Owerri North to deliver a resounding victory for APC and governor Hope Uzodimma in the upcoming November gubernatorial election”.
Sir. Jude Ejiogu speaking further said that the imperative of a Uzodimma victory in the November election can not be overemphasized, because it comes with the dreams and aspirations of people of Owerri zone to produce the next governor of IMO state after Uzodimma second tenure.
Sir. Ejiogu said that to make sense of this laudable goal, the LGA officers must purge themselves of the division and factionalization within their ranks and work in harmony and unity of purpose. He declared that he is now fully back into the APC fold from a self-imposed political sabbatical leave and poised to lead in the front to collapse the entire Owerri North LGA into one big APC family.
Sir. Jude Ejiogu praised the visible dividend of democracy accomplishments by Senator Hope Uzodimma, and on these pedestals, he has the moral justification to demand a second tenure. Chief Jude Ejiogu also eulogized Ohamadike Jerry Chukwueke, the chief technical adviser to the governor on new IMO project, for the wonderful work of explaining in detail and clarifying the policy and programs of Uzodimma administration like never before.
The interactive meeting, however, took an emotional turn when the host made a public apology to the LGA chairman Hon. Kelechi Azuike, for his infamous role in denying him the house of assembly ticket that, was rightfully due to him in 2015. This unexpected confessional statement by the leader leads to a warm embrace and tears of joy from Kelechi Azuike. The mercurial leader concluded by donating the sum of 500,000 naira to the LGA officers.
In his earlier remarks, the LGA party chairman explained to the host that the visit was necessitated by the party resolve to harness the great potentials of Owerri North political creme, with the goal to build a cohesive force of unity and to put the leaders on notice of the door to door campaign strategy of the party, as a catalyst for grassroots mobilization for UZODIMMA reelection.
Hon. Azuike expressed gratitude to Sir. Jude, for accepting to receive the LGA officers within short notice. He assured the host that the party leadership will be in constant touch with him to harness from his wealth of knowledge and experience in the collective effort to record a landslide victory for the governor. Hon. Azuike also pledged the loyalty and cooperation of LGA officers to his leadership. The LGA party chairman speaking further eulogies Sir.
