The management and partners of Viju Industries (Nigeria) Limited, a leading player in the beverage industry in Nigeria and West Africa, have joined efforts to support Federal government, Lagos and Ogun States government’s initiatives geared towards alleviating the pain and disruption of the daily lives of citizens caused by the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.

In an unprecedented crisis during the shutdown of activities, Viju Industries, manufacturer of popular “Viju Milk Drink”, stated that this has necessitating urgent attention and have thus embarked on the donation of relief materials to both Lagos and Ogun States for onward distribution to the poor and vulnerable across these two states.

A statement from the company reads; “We realize the effect (of the lockdown) on Nigerians, especially the economically vulnerable in the society and those on daily wages whose incomes are closely tied to ongoing economic activities, which for now have been lockdown.”

Therefor the management of the company decided to donate relief items to the States Emergency Food Response for onward distribution among the residents in Lagos and Ogun State respectively.

The items donated included; Viju Milk drinks, Obest Biscuits, Mama V Tomato Paste and Mr. V Premium water.

In addition to the food items, the management also commended the effort of all health workers on the frontline in battling the COVID-19 pandemic and also urge residents to abide by medical precautions and government resilient efforts to combat this dreaded pandemic.

“Despite the social distancing, all of our hearts remain together, being confident that working together, we can, and we will come out victorious. Please, do stay safe while you heed to government instruction of staying home. Do not forget, regular hand washing and social distancing,” management added.
