VP Osinbajo To Commission FG/ANSG Leather Manufacturing One-Stop Centre This May

The Managing Director/CEO of Anambra State Small Business Agency (ASBA), Chief Clement Chukwuka has revealed that the Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo will be in Anambra state on 28th May, 2021 to commission the FG/ANSG Leather manufacturing One-Stop Center.


Sir Chukwuka made this known earlier today when he conducted the Honourable Commissioner for Public Utilities and Water Resources, Engr. Emeka Ezenwanne, the Managing Director/CEO of Anambra Road Maintainance Agency, Engr. Emeka Okoye and others round the facility located at Ogbunike by Nkwelle Ezunaka junction, Oyi Local Government Area.


The ASBA boss informed that when Anambra state won the best MSMEs most supportive state in Nigeria in 2019, the Federal Government represented by Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, promised to equip a one-stop-center that will house; high tech shoe and leather making equipment meant for producing similar imported shoes from Spain and Italy; Bank of Industry; Development Bank of Nigeria; Corporate Affairs Commission; Standards Organisation of Nigeria; SMEDAN amongst others.
 The center according to Chief Chukwuka will reduce certifications and cheaper funding from Federal Development Banks and Bank of Industries.


” It will afford many shoe makers the opportunities of producing better quality leather products by using suffisticated equipment that would ordinarily not within their reach to acquire”


Further speaking, Chief Chukwuka who confirmed that every machine or tool required to be installed at the center was ready said the equipment installation will commence next week Tuesday.


In his remarks after the inspection, the Commissioner for Public Utilities and Water Resources, Hon. Engr. Emeka Ezenwanne commended the ASBA for their sterling performance.


Engr. Ezenwanne informed that they were at the site to supervise the power and water installations which the Ministry provided for the center and thanked the contractors for doing a good job.


On his part, Engr. Emeka Okoye, the MD/CEO of ARMA assured that his agency will get the access roads and the landscaping of the compound ready before the commissioning
