We Are Coming – Robbers Give Bank Manager Notice

The manager of Fidelity Bank PLC, Ilupeju Branch, Lagos, Uche Augustine Okam has been put on notice by suspected armed robbers, who informed him that they were coming to the bank to collect their share of money inside the bank.

P.M.EXPRESS confirmed that apart from informing him of their coming, he was clearly directed to prepare and keep money for them.
The incident happened at the bank’s branch at Ilupeju area of Lagos.

It was gathered that the manager, Mr Okam, was terrible afraid because he knew that it was a serious threat to his life and the bank.

The matter was reported to the Police at State Anti Robbery Squad led by CSP Peter Gana, who trailed the suspects and one of the identified as Bright Ebhohimen and detained him for interrogation.

After interrogation, the Police found him culpable and later charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for conspiracy and threat to life of the manager.
He pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Mojiade Edema, asked the Court to fix a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to the charge to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A.O. Layinka, granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
The matter was adjourned till 16th December, 2019.
Meanwhile,the operatives of SARS were said to be on the trail of the other suspects at large in connection with the alleged notice and threat to life.
